Does winter weather cause your skin to flake, itch, and crack? Well, here's some tips to help keep hydrated through the season.
1. How are you Moisturizing?
Use a moisture rich lotion to help keep your skin hydrated and apply liberally. Vaseline has a great coco butter gel that you can apply after you shower to help lock in the moisture.
2. Exfoliate?
Yes! Your skin sheds so you need to exfoliate to expose the new healthy glowing skin. Remember, that you should exfoliate the skin on your body just like you do for your face. I generally use an exfoliating glove to achieve maximum coverage.
3. Are you drinking enough water?
Hydrating starts from within, your body is mostly made up of water. Therefore, if you aren't drinking enough water then your pores will open up to get as much moisture to keep hydrated. Unfortunately, if you body resorts to this then you aren't drinking enough water to remain hydrated. Bottoms up! The recommendation is 8 - 12 glasses of water depending on your activity levels.
